The ideal air conditioner temperature varies with personal comfort and the specific conditions. As a general recommendation, however, the room temperature should be set at around 24-27°C to keep most people comfortable.
Here are some factors to consider when choosing your air conditioner temperature:
Weather
When it is very hot outside, you may want to set the air conditioner higher and still feel cool. Avoid setting the temperature too low, as this creates a large gap between indoor and outdoor temperatures and can cause thermal shock when moving from a cool space to a hot one or vice versa.
Indoor activity
If you are physically active or there are many people in the room, a lower temperature may be a good choice to reduce sweating and keep everyone comfortable.
Condition of the air conditioner
If your air conditioner works well and circulates air effectively, you can consider a higher setting. If it is faulty or underperforming, setting the temperature too low can increase power consumption and wear on the unit, so have your air conditioner serviced regularly.
Saving energy
To save energy and cut costs, make sure you do not set the temperature too low. Where possible, use the air conditioner’s energy-saving mode.
In short, the right temperature depends on personal preference and environmental factors. However, for comfort and energy efficiency, around 24-27°C is a suitable setting
