✍️ Choosing the right air conditioning for an office is a concern for many business owners. The key challenge is to install a system that keeps the working environment comfortable for staff while keeping costs down for the business. To meet this need, Daikin has researched and developed an office air conditioning solution: the VRV central air conditioning system, which offers a host of outstanding benefits.
Characteristics of office buildings
- Large floor areas: Unlike residential homes, office buildings usually have large floor areas, so they need air conditioning with a correspondingly large capacity to cool effectively.
- Large numbers of staff: Office buildings also house many employees. Air conditioning is therefore essential, especially on hot, humid days, when it keeps rooms cool and comfortable so that staff can concentrate on their work
- A place to welcome partners: The office is also the face of the company, where it receives partners and clients. Air conditioning in the office not only keeps staff comfortable but also gives visiting partners and clients a positive impression of professionalism and courtesy.
Using Daikin VRV air conditioning in office buildings
Introducing the Daikin VRV central air conditioning system
There are many air conditioning solutions for office buildings on the market today. Drawing on their experience advising on and installing air conditioning for many large projects, the air conditioning experts at Sen Viet introduce the Daikin VRV central air conditioning system below: a feature-rich solution chosen by many business owners.
VRV, short for “Variable Refrigerant Volume”, is a central air conditioning system that varies the refrigerant flow by adjusting the frequency of the electrical current. The Daikin VRV central air conditioning system covers a wide capacity range, with outdoor units of up to 60 HP.
Daikin offers 2 product lines: a high-capacity, high-efficiency line for large projects and the compact VRV 4s line, suitable for villas, hotels and small offices. Daikin’s experts will recommend the right product based on the requirements and design of each project.
Advantages of Daikin VRV central air conditioning in office buildings
Flexible design and installation
A single outdoor unit can be connected to many indoor units (up to 64), and the piping between the outdoor and indoor units can be up to 190m long, making it easy to choose where to install both the indoor and outdoor units.
In particular, Daikin VRV outdoor units can be combined flexibly with many different types of indoor unit (ducted concealed ceiling, ceiling cassette, wall-mounted, floor-standing and more), allowing business owners to choose the right indoor unit for each space.
Outstanding energy savings
Daikin central air conditioning saves energy thanks to automatic operation, responsive temperature sensors that react as soon as the set temperature is reached, and an off-timer function.
In addition, the Daikin VRV central air conditioning system features Inverter technology for outstanding energy savings. Inverter technology works by controlling the frequency of each circuit board inside the unit. This allows the unit’s output to be controlled precisely, avoiding wasted energy.
Individual control
The Daikin VRV central air conditioning system supports individual control, allowing the temperature to be set separately in each zone for maximum user comfort.
Daikin sensor technology
Beyond these key advantages, the Daikin central air conditioning system also features new Daikin sensor technology that uses infrared to detect people and measure floor temperature, preventing over-cooling.
Comfort
Most customers using Daikin air conditioners installed by Sen Viet give positive feedback on this range, praising the convenience and comfort it provides. The airflow direction can be adjusted flexibly, including individually for each air outlet, to distribute air optimally to every part of the office. At the same time, the new generation of Daikin VRV central air conditioning improves heat rejection efficiency and reduces operating noise, keeping the office quiet.
Tips for choosing office air conditioning
Consider the needs and purpose of each room
When choosing air conditioning for an office, base your choice on the needs and purpose of each room:
- Staff work areas: These rooms only need air conditioning with good cooling/heating performance to create the most comfortable environment for staff. There is no need for a luxury unit; simply choose one with a suitable capacity and a reasonable price. For rooms like these, wall-mounted or ceiling cassette air conditioners are a good fit.
- Director/manager offices: This is where managers receive partners and clients, so the air conditioning should look elegant and professional. For these rooms, a ceiling cassette air conditioner is the ideal solution.
- Meeting rooms: These are only used during meetings, when a large number of people gather for a set period. They therefore need air conditioning that cools quickly and evenly. A floor-standing air conditioner is the ideal choice.
Choose the right capacity
Business owners installing air conditioning in their offices should choose units with the right capacity to save on purchase costs, ensure efficient operation and avoid wear caused by running beyond capacity.
Install air conditioning from a reputable brand
Air conditioning for an office building is a long-term investment. Business owners should therefore choose a reputable brand (Daikin, Panasonic, Toshiba, Mitsubishi and so on) to guarantee quality. You should also choose a reputable installer to avoid problems during installation that could affect the system’s performance later on.
